Horst Gaisbauer, vintage 1976, has more than 23 years of professional experience in various areas of corporate finance, such as M&A, project finance and startup funding. Since 2007 he has been active in the Venture Capital business and serving as a Senior Investment Manager for VC Funds, i.e. gamma capital partners and the upper austrian hightech fund.

Early stage venture funding is Horst’s passion. He has been working with several Business Angels and a number of Startups. His specialisation is on early stage equity funding, where he has been involved in more than 100 transactions including several successful exits for both, the founders and the investors. He shares his knowledge with new entrepreneurs via lectures and workshops on Venture Capital and early stage Startup funding and is acting as Mentor for Startups at Austrian business incubation programmes. 

Independent consulting has been Horst’s business since 2014, either on a part-time or full-time base. As such he has been working for startups looking for Venture Capital or Business Angel funding, acting as interim VP Finance for a software company and is acutally helping an entrepreneur in preparing for an exit. In addition Horst is advising several family offices and investors on their startup activities.

Horst Gaisbauer is also a member of the Leaders Lodge, an international collective of industry experts.
